Kathy Rooney is based in London and Suffolk. A late comer to art practice, she only began to learn to draw and paint after two eye operations completely transformed her vision in terms of clarity, detail and the perception of colour.

She studied at City Lit in London and then took the MA Fine Art at Middlesex University graduating in December 2022. She is currently studying for an MA in Printmaking, also at Middlesex.

 

Her work is predominantly abstract with a focus on our changing environment and the climate crisis.

​

She is a member of the Fankle Art Collective and has exhibited in London, Luxembourg and Madrid. Several of her works are in private collections in London, the USA and Athens.

​

She was a Director of Bloomsbury Publishing Plc for 28 years.
